We exist to Fill the City with Jesus.
We empower the willing to come fully alive in God’s presence for the renewal of our cities.
Imagine a group of people in an authentic community, loving each other honestly, covering each other’s sins with forgiveness, prayer, confession, and encouragement, and serving and supporting each other genuinely. It’s in spaces like these where we begin to see the supernatural work of God within our relationships.
Use this guide with your community, in concert with the Field Journal, as you Strengthen Yourself in the Lord, Manage Your Household, and Fill the City with Jesus.
Strengthen Yourself in the Lord
Sermon Summary
Over the past season, God has been taking us through a Holy Transition—from crowds to commissioned, from acquaintances to intimacy, and from waiting to birthing—and now He is inviting us into a season of abundance and acceleration. But biblical abundance is never about personal comfort or prosperity; it is about greater responsibility, deeper dependence on God, and making room for others like Peter in Luke 5:1-11. But like James and John, God is calling some of us to join others as God pours out abundance on them, rather than sitting on the shores of apathy, bitterness, or sulking in insecurity. God isn’t simply looking for people who are familiar with His Word—He’s looking for people who will do His Word, developing not just the outward systems but the inward character to sustain God’s abundance in this season of acceleration.

Discussion Questions
- Where do you sense God asking you to “put out into the deep” right now, and what fears or excuses are tempting you to stay on the shore?
- How has God blessed your life in ways that are meant to benefit others, not just yourself? What would it look like to intentionally make room for someone else?
- The disciples’ abundance required community. How can you invite your community into God’s abundance?
- Where do you need to drop the net you are working on and join someone else’s abundance to help serve them?
- What is God asking you to do, not study, not think about, but do? (To deny consumer Christianity.)
- If God entrusted you with greater influence, opportunities, or resources tomorrow, what areas of your character would need to be strengthened today to steward that abundance well?
- If God increases His abundance on you, how can you start building a life that can sustain His generosity?
