About True North VBS

Lorem We’re ready to guide kids on the ultimate Alaskan adventure, where northern lights glow over majestic mountains, racing rivers, and glistening glaciers. As kids trek the tundra, they’ll explore how easy it is to lose sight of what’s true in our wild world today. Pointing them toward Jesus, True North VBS will show them that He is a faithful friend we can always trust. He’s our True North!

Yes! We need volunteers to help prep materials, do admin work, set up and tear down the event as well as assist with Finale Night.

Spots are reserved for children of volunteers who serve during the actual VBS event times. We may not be able to guarantee spots for those that sign up to volunteer last minute.

Yes. Limited slots are available but our goal is to provide it for any volunteer that needs it.

Yes! 6th graders (completed 6th grade year) and up are welcome to serve. 6th graders are limited to serve as assistants in preschool crews. 7th grade and up have many areas they can choose from.

4 years – finished 5th grade. Must be 4 by June 23rd for Southern Pines Campus, June 15th for Seven Lakes and Carthage Campuses. Child must be fully potty trained.

Children need to be registered in the grade they just completed in 2025 so your rising Kindergartener will be registered in the preschool group. Please know this still puts your child with age appropriate peers. They also attend all the same adventures as elementary students with only games and crafts being slightly modified.

If the grade is full, go to the waitlist for your campus and submit their name and age there. More slots will be released as we have more volunteers sign up to serve. We will call people off the waitlist up through the 1st full day of VBS. If you place your child in the incorrect age group to get them a slot, we will move you to the waitlist. Each age group/grade has a cap and we ask you to honor that. Waitlists can be found under the registration links above.

Crews are mixed age: 4-5 year olds, K-2nd, 3rd – 5th. You may submit one request but it must fall in the crew groupings. We will do our best to honor your request but it is not guaranteed.

Allergies should be noted on your child’s registration form. If it is something they might encounter during their VBS experience we will give them an arm band to wear daily, notify crew and station leaders, and note it on their name tags as well. We can support gluten, dairy and peanut allergies. For your child’s safety, you may be asked to provide an appropriate snack if their allergies or preferences fall outside what we can accommodate.

If your child requires extra attention, we ask that you attend with them. We currently do not have buddies available for Vacation Bible School but look forward to entering into a dialogue with you to help your child be successful at VBS.

Please drop off donations at the Southern Pines campus office Monday – Thursday 8:30 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. or your specific campus on the Sunday of the week prior to the beginning of VBS.
