The Worship Internship is a 10-week, paid summer program designed for a college student to gain hands-on experience in worship & production ministry. They will gain the Grace Church “DNA” and share the vision of the Lead Pastor in all aspects of the job. The Worship Intern position is temporary and not eligible for benefits.
Responsiblites
- Participate in worship team (lead, co-lead, play, Music Director (MD), or coach) across all Grace campuses and ministries. May include Sunday mornings (any campus), Thursday nights, Seek God prayer settings, GStudents worship, Staff chapel & special events.
- Assist in the planning and execution of special projects, including collaborations with production, prayer, media, communications, missions, GStudents, and other departments.
- Weekly 1:1 personal shepherding and discipleship with an assigned Pastor.
- Weekly 1:1 professional development through pre-established benchmarks as part of the internship program.
- Weekly opportunities to meet with key staff and volunteers from across Grace Church.
- Attend weekly All-Staff meetings, Weekend Review/Prep meeting, Worship Staff meetings, and Worship/Production Sync meetings as part of a set office schedule.
Qualifications
- Full time rising college junior or senior enrolled in a worship or ministry related program
- Born again and water-baptized
- Have a life that reflects the teachings of Jesus (Matthew 5–7) and produces the fruit of the Spirit (Galatians 5)
- Devoted to the basic disciplines of the faith: worship, prayer, and tithing
- Attend worship services regularly
- Agreement with Grace Church’s statement of faith
- Have strong verbal and written communication skills
- Self–motivated and organized with the ability to build and engage volunteers
- Have a spirit of discernment and discretion
