The Production Coordinator supports the Production Director in fulfilling the Lead Pastor’s vision by assisting with the oversight of Production Teams across all campuses, but has a heavy focus on the Southern Pines Campus. This role focuses on coordinating production elements for Worship Experiences, supporting volunteer administration, maintaining equipment, and ensuring consistent support for events and ministries. The Production Coordinator helps refine systems and processes, promotes spiritual and technical growth among volunteers, and ensures that production elements align with Grace Church’s mission to create an environment conducive to worship and disciple-making.
Responsibilities
- Support Worship Experience Execution: Assist in overseeing production elements (lighting, video, audio) for Thursday and Sunday Worship Experiences across all three campuses, ensuring consistency and alignment with the church’s vision.
- Event Support: Coordinate and provide production support for special events (e.g., Easter, Christmas Eve, VBS, etc.) and ministry events, including setup, operation, and teardown of lighting, video, and audio systems when needed. Including staffing for external events that take place outside of normal working hours (Classical Conversations Conference, Funerals, Weddings, etc.)
- Volunteer Coordination: Support the Production Director in scheduling and managing production volunteers, ensuring adequate staffing for services and events across campuses.
- Volunteer Development: Assist in training and equipping production volunteers, fostering spiritual and technical growth through discipleship and hands-on guidance.
- Equipment Maintenance: Maintain and troubleshoot production equipment (e.g., audio consoles, lighting systems, cameras) across campuses, ensuring reliability and readiness for use.
- System and Process Support: Aid in refining production systems and processes, such as scheduling tools or equipment workflows, to enhance efficiency and scalability.
- Collaboration: Work closely with the Production Coordinators for each campus and Production Support Staff to integrate production elements and support team goals, ensuring all elements are ready for events and Worship Experiences.
- Budget Support: Assist the Production Director in managing the production budget, adhering to spending policies, and stewarding church resources responsibly.
- Audio Engineering: Collaborate with Front of House (FOH) and Online audio operators to enhance their mixing skills and deliver structured training programs, empowering volunteers with the knowledge and confidence to effectively operate FOH systems.
- All Hands on Deck: Participate in “all hands on deck” events (e.g., Easter, Christmas Eve) and campus staff events as required for employees working 20+ hours per week.
- Administrative Duties: Update process queues, forms, and data in Gracelink for the Production Department, ensuring accurate and timely documentation. Managing first looks and volunteer onboarding for the Southern Pines campus.
- Professional Development: Stay current with industry trends and technologies by participating in educational opportunities and reading professional publications.

- Devoted to the basic disciplines of the faith: worship, prayer, and tithing
- Attend worship services regularly
- Lead/attend a small group or serve in a ministry regularly
- An appropriate educational background
- Background in Audio engineering is strongly preferred
- Church membership required
- Experience as a ministry staff member and ministry leadership experience are preferred
- Ability to work in confined spaces or low positions, including extended periods on hands and knees.
- Requires frequent kneeling, crouching, or crawling
- Can lift over 50lbs regularly.
- Can stand for long periods of time.
