Frequently Asked Questions

gKids serves children six weeks through 5th grade. If your child is older, we recommend that you check out GStudents, our youth ministry for middle school through high school.

gKids is rich with worship, Bible study, scripture memory, games, crafts and fun! Each age group has activities that draw them to Christ using age appropriate programming.

Safety is a top priority at gKids, and we have several measures in place to keep your child safe. We use a check-in system that requires parent and child security tags. Each week the pick up number is randomly generated and ensures that only you or an authorized guardian can pick up your child. All volunteers are background checked and we keep two or more volunteers in each classroom at all times. If your child is unsettled, we will attempt to soothe them for about 10 minutes and if they still need parental comfort, we will contact you for pickup.

Communicate any allergies/special needs your child may have when you arrive at check-in. We look forward to having a conversation with you and finding ways we can best minister to your child. You are always welcome to share any information with the volunteers working with your child as well. New families should arrive 10–15 minutes before service begins to complete check-in paperwork, ask questions, and find a seat in service.

gKids is the same for Thursday night, all services on Sunday and at all campuses. While class sizes may vary, the programming is the same for all service times and locations.

Diaper bags are welcome (please label) but not required. We have diapers and wipes available on-site. Bibles are encouraged for preschool through elementary because we will be opening up and discovering the Word of the Lord together.

Snacks are provided in the Walkers through 3-year-old rooms (ages 1–3). If allergies are present, parents are welcome to provide a snack of their own. All other ages are asked to finish their snack before entering the classroom.

We invite you to register for our Intentional Parenting Class, which is prerequisite for participating in Child Dedication. The class will equip you with biblical truths, encouragement and wisdom from other parents, and practical tools that will help you fill your home with Jesus. See upcoming schedule.

gKids volunteers, staff and Safety Team will immediately go into action using pre-planned emergency procedures. Once the emergency has been settled, either through evacuation or taking shelter, you will be reunited with your children using your secure pick up code.
