A Week of Fasting

Our heart is for our people to fast regularly. We are beginning a church-wide rhythm of fasting once a quarter. This week of fasting will culminate in 24 hours of prayer starting on October 3 at 6:00PM and ending on October 4 at 6:00PM.
This fast is in line with the priestly tradition of keeping the temple fire burning. We wish to stoke the fire of a fervent prayer life in those who call Grace their home Church.
“The fire on the altar must be kept burning; it must not go out. Every morning the priest is to add firewood and arrange the burnt offering on the fire and burn the fat of the fellowship offerings on it.” —Leviticus 6:12.
