Come find authentic community at the Groups Fair this fall! We are going all-in on sermon-based groups as a church, and Groups Fair is your opportunity to connect with a group so you can grow as a disciple of Jesus.
This year, Groups Fair will be held during our normal worship experience times at each of our campuses. Groups are so important for us as a church family that we’re orienting all of our services around making it easy for you join a group.
What are sermon-based groups?
Sermon-based groups meet each week to discuss practical application from the message and to share what God is speaking. A Sermon Discussion Guide is available in the lobby at every Grace Church campus as well as online. The discussion guide includes a summary of the message, a list of Scripture verses referenced in the sermon, and discussion questions.
Why is Grace Church moving to sermon-based groups?
As we grow to reach ten cities for God’s glory, we want to encourage unity across our campuses, and sermon-based groups are an incredible way to grow together as a church family.
Why should I join a group?
Groups are where life-on-life discipleship happens. You need people in your life encouraging you to pursue Christ-like maturity, and you also need to be discipling others.
Consider the example of the disciples in Acts: “And every day, in the temple and from house to house, they did not cease teaching and preaching that the Christ is Jesus.” (Acts 5:42 ESV) They gathered for church and they gathered in their homes.
How can I lead a group?
We all calling everyone in our congregation to consider leading a group. To learn more and get started, you’ll need to attend our Groups Leader Training in July.
Why are groups so important at Grace Church?
Church is more than gathering on a Thursday or a Sunday for a worship experience. Jesus said, “For where two or three are gathered in my name, there am I among them.” (Matthew 18:20 ESV) We want to come together in homes as a church family to SEEK GOD. Groups meeting in homes enables the church to grow and allows more people to encounter the living God. This is a key part of city renewal and the vision for ten cities.
