The Sabbath teaches us to steward and carry God’s presence. In His presence, He breathes life into us, causing our lives and cities to flourish.

(new sermons published every Monday)
We exist to Fill the City with Jesus.
We empower the willing to come fully alive in God’s presence for the renewal of our cities.
Imagine a group of people in an authentic community, loving each other honestly, covering each other’s sins with forgiveness, prayer, confession, and encouragement, and serving and supporting each other genuinely. It’s in spaces like these where we begin to see the supernatural work of God within our relationships.
Use this guide with your community, in concert with the Field Journal, as you Strengthen Yourself in the Lord, Manage Your Household, and Fill the City with Jesus.
Strengthen Yourself in the Lord
Sermon Summary
God never designed you to live exhausted or driven by the endless demand to produce. From the beginning, He established the Sabbath as a holy rhythm—a day to stop striving, remember His goodness, and encounter His presence. While culture measures your worth by what you produce, the Sabbath offers a better way: encountering God’s presence through rest so you can carry it through the rest of the week. Ceasing work is an act of faith to reflect on His faithfulness in your life. Sabbath isn’t simply a day off; it is a day given to the Lord to cultivate life in your soul so that life can flow into your city. When we learn to steward and carry His presence by surrendering our time to God, He breathes life into us, blessing our efforts to flourish and multiply.

- How might setting aside a day for God cultivate life in your heart?
- What are some modern forms of slavery (productivity, achievement, busyness, or fear of man), and how might taking a Sabbath free you from those?
- What is one step your family can take to begin to receive the blessing of the Sabbath?
Manage Your Household

- Read together – Spend time together reading God’s Word. Consider the Bible reading guide on our website.
- Journal & Share – Share insight from what you’ve been hearing from the Lord and capturing in your journal weekly.
