Re|enage is a 16-week biblically-based marriage discipleship ministry utilizing the curriculum and resources developed by Watermark Community Church.  We begin with a launch night, followed by 14 weeks of chapters from the re|engage workbook, and then culminate in a celebration night.  Our facilitators have been trained to lead and disciple small groups of couples through the curriculum.  

Re|engage is for marriages, between one man and one woman, in any and all conditions.  Every marriage will benefit, whether couples are struggling to get along, the marriage seems broken, or they simply want to grow closer together relationally.  Re|engage helps you put Christ at the center of your marriage as you move toward oneness.

The goal of re|engage is not primarily to save couples from divorce, or even to make healthier marriages.  The goal of re|engage is to fashion couples into better disciples of Jesus Christ.  We believe as our hearts better align with God’s plan and desire for our lives, all relationships (including our marriages) will improve.  Through the felt need for better (or more tolerable) marriages, couples will come looking for help.  Ultimately, what we offer them is Christ.

Another difference is that re|engage is a small-groups based ministry.  Unlike traditional counseling or mentoring where couples meet with an individual or one other couple we believe life (and marriage) transformation best occurs in the context of relationships with others.

We offer re|engage twice a year in the fall and in the spring.  Semesters typically run late August through early December and early February through late May.  Registration opens in July and January.  Register early as childcare is limited.  If you are not able to attend all or most of the 16 sessions, we recommend waiting until your schedule allows.  It is disruptive to the small group if couples are not in regular attendance, and you will not want to miss a week!

We gather as a large group to hear the live marriage testimony of one of our facilitator couples or a recorded testimony from Watermark Church (re|engage founders).  We then divide into small groups (4-5 couples) for a discussion of the lesson for the week led by the facilitator couple.  Weekly lessons build on the following topics:  Love, Brokenness, Grace, Humility, Communication, Forgiveness, Making Amends, Reconciliation, Commitment, Expectations, Emotional Intimacy, Sexual Intimacy, Spiritual Intimacy, and Invest.

Carthage Campus:  Mondays from 6:15-8:00 pm

Southern Pines Campus:  Tuesdays from 6:15-8:00 pm

Seven Lakes Campus:  Wednesday from 6:15-8:00
