The GStudents Worship Experience Coordinator helps fulfill the vision of the Lead Pastor by supporting the Student Pastor in all aspects of Worship Experience Nights across student campuses. This role is responsible for building and coordinating the Order of Service, cultivating environments where joy, praise, and glory are tangible realities as the presence of God is hosted through fellowship, the Word, communion, and prayer.

This leader recruits, develops, equips, and empowers students and leaders across the Host, Prayer, Worship, and Production Teams—establishing strong systems, providing intentional leadership, and driving ongoing growth and expansion. At its core, this role is about raising up a generation of sons and daughters who are wholeheartedly devoted to Jesus Christ.

Responsibilities

  1. Build a culture that cultivates environments where joy, praise, and glory are felt realities as His presence is hosted through the rhythms of fellowship, the Word, communion, and prayer.
  2. Plan, schedule, and oversee all aspects of the Order of Service using Planning Center and weekly Pre-Service Huddle Meetings.
  3. Support Campus Worship Teams as needed.

Details of Responsibilities 

  • Participate (lead, co-lead, or serve) for Student worship environments across Grace Church campuses as needed.
  • Oversee the Order of Service for GStudents Worship Experience Nights.
    • Lead Order of Service Huddle Meetings at the given campus to include the worship team, production team, and speakers.
    • Lead or empower others with a consistent, clear Call To Worship.
    • Creatively design Order of Service elements that cultivate engaging, Spirit-led environments.
    • Input and manage all necessary service elements in ProPresenter.
  • Team builder
    • Recruit, develop, and train new singers, musicians, worship leaders, and production team members for GStudents.
    • Build a leadership pipeline for GStudents to become future Campus Worship Team members upon graduating GStudents.
  • Assist in the building, planning, and execution of Mountaintop Experiences (Camp EXP, Retreats, etc.)
  • Work special events as needed including Camp EXP.  
  • Serve as the primary person responsible for worship-owned equipment in the Southern Pines Multipurpose Room and Seven Lakes Student Center (drum sets, keyboards, etc.)
  • Assist the Production department in managing production-owned equipment in the Southern Pines Multipurpose Room and Seven Lakes Student Center (i.e. audio gear, microphones, projectors, etc.)

  • Raise up students through intentional discipleship and spiritual accountability
  • Demonstrate and model the Worship Team Guidelines, including your own Spiritual Accountability and attendance at Worship & Production Team Nights, encouraging GStudents worship team members to do the same.
  • Provide GStudents team members with musical resources and rehearsal files.
  • Coordinate GStudents’ use of Multitracks (Playback app) on stage.
  • Uses the GStudents budget to purchase new multitracks that will primarily be used at GStudents, in conjunction with worship staff. Steward approved spending effectively adhering to spending policies.  
  • Attend staff chapel, all-staff meetings, and Worship Staff Meeting
  • Complete administrative responsibilities, including email communication, scheduling, GraceLink queues, and requisitions.
  • Assist with church-wide worship and discipleship processes (e.g. worship onboarding, birthday appreciation, personal care of team members, etc.
  • Participate in required “all hands on deck” events (e.g., Easter, Sundays, Christmas Eve) for employees working 20+ hours per week.
  • Ability to lift 50+ lbs.
  • Ability to stand for extended period of time 

Required Character Attributes and Qualifications

  • Born again and water-baptized
  • Have a life that reflects the teachings of Jesus (Matthew 5–7) and produces the fruit of the Spirit (Galatians 5)
  • Devoted to the basic disciplines of the faith: worship, prayer, and tithing
  • Attend worship services regularly
  • Lead/attend a small group or serve in a ministry regularly
  • Vocal proficiency or instrumental proficiency required (guitar or keys strongly preferred).
  • Knowledge of basic music theory and “band language” – triads, chord progressions, ability to navigate song arrangements.
  • Ability to lead and guide others through musical worship in a student environment.
  • The heart of a teacher-shepherd who cares for students’ personal lives and to grow their knowledge of Biblical worship.
  • Passion to train and develop students’ musical abilities as part of a worship team.
  • Team player who will work as part of the overall GStudents team in conjunction with other Grace Church worship staff.
