Baptism: A Total Surrender

Baptism symbolizes a total surrender to God. It’s more than escaping a storm; it is trusting God to guide us through death into a resurrected life.

Listen + Watch the Message
(new sermons published every Monday)

In 1 Peter 3, baptism is compared to the Old Testament story of Noah and his family. Just as Noah surrendered full control to God the moment he shut the door to the Ark, baptism symbolizes a total handover to God’s direction. It’s more than escaping a storm; it is trusting God to guide us through death into a resurrected life. By “staying afloat” in His grace, we aren’t just surviving; we are being delivered to a new reality where sin’s power is broken and we are made righteous in Christ.
