The Childcare Coordinator is responsible for helping to fulfill the vision of the Lead Pastor in all aspects of the job.  The Childcare Coordinator is responsible for providing support to Groups and Grace Church events.  The Childcare Coordinator will coordinate childcare for ministry, care groups, and special events

Monday & Wednesday, 9:00 a.m.-11:00 a.m. Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, 6:00 p.m.-8:00 p.m. 

  • Serve as the supervisor in charge of Grace Church’s paid childcare workers, ensuring they are always actively engaged with the children, have a positive and helpful attitude, and follow Grace Church policies and procedures
  • Ensure appropriate numbers of childcare workers, safe and pleasing rooms for children and parents and a correct worker/child ratio
  • Schedule childcare workers for church events, ministry events, groups, or any other requested events as requested
  • Recruit, interview, train, and hire childcare workers to meet Grace Church’s needs 
  • Serve as the backup childcare worker (during working hours) when other resources are exhausted
  • Ensure the childcare environment is properly supplied for childcare
  • Approve hours worked by paid childcare workers
  • Prepare a monthly schedule for paid childcare workers
  • Obtain CPR/First Aid within 90 days of hire 
  • Working together with the Groups Administrator to ensure childcare for groups on all campuses
  • Stay current with all applicable process queues, forms, and data input into Gracelink for specific departments.

  • Devoted to the basic disciplines of the faith – Worship experience attendance, Prayer, and Tithing
  • Attend worship services regularly 
  • Lead/Attend a small group or serve in a ministry regularly 
  • Qualifications
  • An appropriate educational background
  • Experience as a ministry staff member and ministry leadership experience
  • Detailed knowledge, agreement, and adherence to Grace Church mission, vision, and core values
  • Self-motivated and organized with the ability to build, engage and lead a team of staff and volunteers
  • Have strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Have a spirit of discernment and discretion
  • A willingness to grow and adapt to inevitable changes is found in a local growing church
