Youth — the Uprising

Who — The Uprising Youth Group is for youth ages 11-18. These ages are divided into two groups, Middle School and HIgh School.

When — We start on Sundays at 6pm. From 6 - 6:30pm the game room is open and we have free time to have fun and build relationships. Then, the service starts at 6:35pm and ends around 8:00pm.

Where — All of the youth small groups and services are held at the Grace Church.

What — What is "the Uprising"?

The Uprising is the youth ministry of Grace Church and we exist to push, develop, and expose teens to the awesome power and person of Jesus Christ. We strive to develop teens that will stand for God in a culture that is hostile to a biblical world view. We seek to prepare our youth for whatever their future holds by encouraging them to build a personal relationship with God, a love for His word, and develop personal purity, integrity, and relational skills.

We know that youth love to have fun, so we have a Youth Room with an XBOX, PS2, ping pong table, and much more.

Our services consist of worship and a relevant message that our youth can apply to their everyday lives to help them live out their faith. Worship is led by our very own youth worship band.

We also have small groups for middle school and high school students. The small groups run from 5−6pm on Sunday nights. We believe that small groups are the key for building relationships, discipleship, and mentoring. We encourage all of our youth to be involved in one of our small groups.

Why — Why is our youth ministry called “the uprising”?
Webster defines it this way: To rise to a higher position. Youth today have to battle daily a world that is selling them a bill of goods opposite to the word of God. Romans 12:2 talks about not conforming to the pattern of the world. Here lies our battle ground. We are here to prepare youth to start the fight and to continue it on throughout life. If you are up for a good spiritual battle, come join us on Sunday nights.
