Randy and Sarah Thornton
Senior PastorRandy Thornton, founder and Senior Pastor of Grace Church in Southern Pines, has ministered to the church and the Moore County community since 1988. Randy received his Bachelor’s Degrees in Biblical Theology and Ministerial Theology in 1986. He was on the pastoral staff and served as an elder at the Manna Church in Fayetteville, NC.
In July of 1988, Randy and Sarah, along with their two young children were sent by the Manna Church to plant Grace Church in Southern Pines. Following the Lord’s directive, Randy initiated the ongoing gathering of local pastors in praying for the community and promoting unity among Moore County churches. He has been instrumental in establishing several ministries in the county such as Pregnancy Support Services, Pray Moore County, and the American Family Radios.
Under Pastor Thornton's leadership, the church has planted churches in Columbia, SC, and in the nation of Honduras. During this time, Randy and Sarah have raised four children: Rebekah, a Graduate of Oral Roberts University; Alison, a student at Sandhills Community College; Ashley, a student at North Carolina State University; and Jonathan a student at Pinecrest High School. Together, the family continues to serve the Lord and follow His plan for their family and their ministry.
The Lord has given Randy a vision for Grace Church to become a House of Prayer for all nations and a modern-day “Antioch”…a church which equips and sends its members out to fulfill Christ’s Great Commission.
Jonathan & Michelle Love
Associate PastorJonathan Love came on staff in March 2004 with his wife, Michelle. Jonathan holds a Bachelor's Degree in Divinity Theology.
Prior to coming to Grace, Pastor Love served on staff at Manna Church in Fayetteville, NC for 3 years. Jonathan serves as district pastor for Pinehurst, Foxfire, Jackson Springs and is responsible for running the day-to-day operations of the church.
They are passionate about
seeing lost people come to know Christ and growing to become mature disciples.
Jonathan and Michelle were married in 1999 and have four children, Brooke, Stephen,
Christin, and a child to be named later.
Kevin & Jodi Baker
Worship/Fine Arts PastorKevin Baker came on staff in August of 2005 with his wife Jodi. He attended Kellogg Community College in Battle Creek, MI majoring in radio/television broadcasting.
Prior to coming to Grace, Kevin pursued a professional career in songwriting and recording. He served for five years on the music ministry leadership team at First Wesleyan Church and three years as the Worship Leader for Victory Life Church in Battle Creek.
Pastor Baker oversees the worship, fine arts, and multimedia ministries in the church as well as serving as district pastor for West End, Carthage, and some of the surrounding areas. Kevin and Jodi were married in 2002 and have two children, Eden Noelle and Elijah.
David & Linda Pratt
Life Groups/Prayer PastorPastor Pratt came on staff in January 2003 to oversee the small groups and prayer ministry of Grace Church and serve as district Pastor for Aberdeen and Pinebluff.
David and his wife, Linda, have been a part of Grace Church since 1997. David has served as an Elder since 2000. David & Linda are prophetic intercessors and love to disciple people. Together, they lead PrayMOORE County, a prayer ministry that unites people of prayer and local pastors.
Their passion is to build the kingdom of God, through unity, prayer and obedience. They are both graduates of East Carolina University, where they met. David and Linda were married in 1983.
Heath & Jodi Caddell
Youth PastorHeath Caddell came on staff in April 2002, with his wife Jodi. Heath holds a Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education and is pursuing a bible college degree through Grace College of Divinity.
Pastor Caddell is the Youth Pastor for our youth group, "The Uprising", and is the district pastor for Southern Pines, Whispering Pines, and Vass. Heath and Jodi were married in 1998 and have two children, Lydia and Noah.
Jimmy & Joanna Coxe
Joanna Coxe, Children's Ministry DirectorJimmy Coxe, Elder
Jimmy Coxe has served as an Elder since 1992 and is a graduate of St. Andrews Presbyterian College. He has been employed at Campbell Soup Company for 23 years and currently serves as the Laboratory Manager.
Joanna came on staff as Children's Ministry Director in 2006 and holds a Bachelors Degree in Early Childhood Education.
They are passionate about serving the families at Grace and helping them to
discover God's healing,health and wholeness. Jimmy and Joanna were married in
1987 and have three children, Joshua, Jacob and Jessica.
Tim and Maria Brock
Tim Brock, ElderTim and Maria joined Grace in 1992, and have been an instrumental part of the leadership team since the beginning of the church . Tim has served as an elder since 1997 and has played a vital role in building the prayer and prophetic ministries of the church as well as teaching New Believers classes.
After graduating from Sandhills Community College, Tim studied business at UNC Wilmington. Tim and Maria were married in 1983 and have three daughters, Kristin, Heather, and Kaylee.
Andy and Kim Grimaud
Andy Grimaud, ElderAndy Grimaud has been an elder since February 2007. Andy and his wife,, Kim have attended Grace since 2003, and have a passion to see people get connected in the church. Andy is retired from the Air Force where he served for 23 years, and is currently a defense contractor at Ft Bragg.
Andy holds a Masters degree in Technology Management and a Bachelors degree in Computer Information Management, and is currently pursuing a degree in Theology from Grace College of Divinity. Andy and Kim were married in 1982 and have two adult daughters, Amanda and Amber.
