Experienced Revolutionary Love?
If you are reading this page, then you likely received a Revolutionary Love card from a member of our church. We hope that you were surprised and blessed by the act of service.You may be wondering, "Why on earth are they doing this?" Good question. Why would we take the time, energy, and effort to go out of our way to do something to serve people that we don't even know? The answer is actually very simple . . .
We did it because we believe this is exactly what Jesus did. He came to the earth to demonstrate His unconditional love to us. His whole life was one giant expression of God's love for us. Even though He is God, He left His place in heaven to come to the earth and serve us.
". . . the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give his life as a ransom to many" (Matthew 20:28)
Then, after living His whole life to serve us, He committed the greatest act of love that the world will ever know. He willingly gave His life away – He was crucified on a cross so that He could take away our sins. By doing that, He secured a place in heaven for us and gave us the gift of eternal life.
"For God so loved the world that he gave
his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have
eternal life. For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world,
but so save the world through him. (John 3:16,17)
There is no greater love than this. Jesus loved us enough to lay down His own life for us. As followers of Christ, He commanded us to do what He did. These Revolutionary Love cards are just one simple way that we can demonstrate the love of Christ. It is just a simple way of saying that God loves you and we do, too. We have been praying for you since you got the card.
Our hope and prayer is that you would know the love of Christ, that you would know of the great price that He paid to have a relationship with you.
