Life Groups

lifegroups2009The Christian life was never meant to be lived in isolation. God has created us in such a way that we need relationships with other people to challenge, encourage, support, and inspire us through our different seasons of life.

Success at Grace Church is defined by how effectively our ministries move people from our large, growing church environment into Life Groups. We have discovered that the best place for sustained, life change to occur is in smaller group settings.

In our Life Groups, people study God's word together and discuss the issues of life we face. It's also where we pray and care for each other and when you don't show up - you're missed!

The main emphasis of each group is to cultivate consistent growth in your relationship to Christ and to develop healthy relationships with other Christians, while reaching out to those who don't know Jesus Christ in your neighborhood, community and at work.

We are growing at Grace Church. In a large church, it is easy to become isolated or feel left out. Through our Life Group Ministry, we provide an opportunity for you to make new friendships. So, what are you waiting for? Get plugged in!

Meeting Your Needs

At Grace Church, our goal is to function as Christ intended, with the body (the church) taking care of each other's needs. If you or a loved one has been hospitalized, had a baby, or had a death in the immediate family, please don't hesitate to call on the body for support.

Frequently Asked Questions

No. Our mission at Grace Church is to help connect every person — from our core members to our increasing community — into healthy Life Groups. We do not believe the mission is only about those who come into our doors on Sunday but is about the entire Moore County region and beyond. We’re a church with a Kingdom vision.

Yes! Life groups are open, accepting environments where love and compassion for one another permeates the group in order to create authentic relationships, or COMMUNITY.

They meet during the week, at varying times, in homes and at the church. Some meet over early morning coffee and others meet in the evenings.

Our goal as a church is to make it as convenient as possible for those attending Grace Church to attend a life group. Most groups provide childcare on an as needed basis for a small fee.

At Grace Church, we follow an Acts 2:42-47 model. This passage explains how the early church operated:

  • Studying scripture
  • Fellowship
  • Breaking bread
  • Praying together daily
  • Meeting from house to house
  • Addressing the needs of others as they occurred

Life Group studies range from books of the Bible, to marriage studies, to practical issues of life. Food and fellowship are shared as meaningful relationships are built. The goal is to grow with each other in authentic relationships and with Christ. Periodically, groups will go out to eat together, or do potlucks in a home, etc... simply "doing life" together.
