Randy and Sarah Thornton

Senior Pastor

Randy Thornton, founder and Senior Pastor of Grace Church in Southern Pines, has ministered to the church and the Moore County community since 1988. Randy received his Bachelor’s Degrees in Biblical Theology and Ministerial Theology in 1986. He was on the pastoral staff and served as an elder at the Manna Church in Fayetteville, NC. In July of 1988, Randy and Sarah were sent by the Manna Church to plant Grace Church in Southern Pines.

Following the Lord’s directive, Randy initiated the ongoing gathering of local pastors in praying for the community and promoting unity among Moore County churches. He has been instrumental in establishing several ministries in the county such as Pregnancy Support Services, Pray Moore County, and the American Family Radios.

The Lord has given Randy a vision for Grace Church to become a House of Prayer for all nations and a modern-day “Antioch”…a church which equips and sends its members out to fulfill Christ’s Great Commission.

Bill & Georgia Fuller

Executive Pastor

Bill Fuller joined Grace in 2009 as Executive Pastor, and serves as district Pastor for Fayetteville, Fort Bragg, Sanford, and Tramway, NC. Bill Fuller has been involved in vocational Christian work since 1980.

Bill received his Bachelors degree in religion at UNC Chapel Hill in 1974. Immediately after graduation, he moved to Ethiopia for six months. Those six months among the Gurage people ignited a burden to serve God cross-culturally and led to his seminary training at Columbia Graduate School of Bible and Missions, where he received his Master of Divinity degree in the area of Missions.

After graduation from seminary, Bill spent 10 years planting and leading a church in Durham, North Carolina. During those years, he became burdened to help pastors mobilize their churches to transform their cities and the nations with the Gospel. As a result, in 1997 he joined the staff of Trans World Radio and served as Associate Director of Global Focus-TWR. It was during those years that he led Manna Church of Fayetteville and Grace Church of Southern Pines through their first Global Impact Celebrations. From 2000–2003, Bill served as the Pastor of Outreach at Grace Church in Chapel Hill, North Carolina and from 2003-2006, he served as Director of Outreach Mobilization for Grace Churches International. From 2006-2009, he served a dual role as Director of Strategic Impact, an outreach mobilization ministry, and as an Associate Pastor at Brickcity Community Church in Sanford, NC. In September 2009, Bill became the executive pastor of Grace Church of Southern Pines.

Bill and his wife, Georgia, have been married thirty-four years and have two children; Heather and Michael.

They live in Sanford, North Carolina.

Ben and Lori KennedyBen and Lori Kennedy

Worship and Creative Arts Pastor

Ben came on staff in August of 2010.  He and his wife, Lori, are passionate about leading people, both Christians and pre-believers, into the transforming presence of the God.  Ben and Lori have released 7 CDs, all but one being worship driven, and have toured extensively around the country doing artistic-fusion worship and evangelistic events.

Their most recent album, entitled "WE", is an artful collection of tested, singable, and congregationally-driven Holy Spirit worship songs that helps people express their hearts through praise.  There's a style for nearly everyone too…Southern funk, R&B soul, gospel-filled praise, modern hymns, folk ballads, and a few raps tastefully peppered in there.

Ben holds his B.A. in Entrepreneurial Business Management from LSU (go Tigers!) and is pursuing his Masters of Worship Studies from West Coast Bible College and Seminary.  Ben and Lori were married in January of 2003, are still madly in love, have one awesome 3-year old named Levi, and have one on the way.
